Girlfriend update

First of all, thanks for all the love with my Momaha gig. I guess I have more readers than I thought. No pressure, eh?  I promise to keep you posted.

On a totally different note, I was flipping through some old posts and when I came across this one: Twin Cousins I thought WHOA NELLY it's time for an update.  Lucky you.

Funniest photo shoot I've ever had...

Does this not scream senior picture pose?

BFF's for life.  Duh.  However, things have sure taken a different turn in the last 7 months.  It's  funny how we used to think that Stella would be the one dominating Mayzie.  Lazy Mayzie?  HA!  Try CRAZY Mayzie.  Stella is like a 40 year old woman.  She is dainty and girly and mature.  And a little bit (a lot bit) of a scaredy cat.  She is so girly and SO fragile that last week a fly made her cry.  I still can't believe I have THAT kid.

With that said, please allow me to update you on the Bull in Stella's china shop.

Mayzie is a nut.  Fearless and loud and freakishly strong.  Thank goodness opposites attract because they are going to be forever BF's.  However, until they start to appreciate each other's differences it's best to monitor their play time.  And by play time I mean bullying and by monitor I mean break up.

Yes, they fight over toys as all toddlers do and Mayzie always wins.  They are working through it because, let me tell you, these two girls are hopelessly devoted to each other.  Even though they fight, they practically melt in each others eyes.

Mayzie:  I promise to kill every fly that tries to attack you.  With my bare hands.

I will never ever get sick of it.  Truth is, I'm thrilled that they are so different.  They are a perfect match.  Stella will definitely need someone to help her toughen up and Mayzie will often need reminded to act like a lady.  Stella will probably be the fashion bug and Mayzie will raid her closet before the HS football games.  Mayzie will probably be the funny one that makes friends so easily and Stella will totally let her cheat off her homework.

peas and carrots

In conclusion, I would like to apologize to anyone who has not had the privilege of watching this precious relationship unfold.  If you are a significant part of the duos life, I would like to ask you to please not turn on the vacuum cleaner when either one is in ear shot.  Stella will have a complete meltdown.  She tends to hide and tremble behind furniture while Mayzie rides it.  Please and thank you.

Stella:     Say "cheese," my mom is such a great photographer!
Mayzie:      Aunt Missy, this BETTER be the last one.  I hate this bow!
